In the Boston area there are a few, but mostly where more than 4 roads converge.
My Texas-born (then-)wife thought they were very confusing at first.
And from what I see when it comes to drivers here in Texas, it would be chaos in a roundabout, it is simply too complex for them. Binary (stop/drive, or red/green) works, but merging, switching lanes and exiting in the right place are hard concepts to learn.

Of course, in Sweden they go to extremes, I seen small intersections in subdivisions with a miniature roundabout just to slow down the cars even more...

I've often wondered why America doesn't have more roundabouts, traffic lights always seemed an expensive solution to me, especially in rural areas.

For those of us who put lots and lots of content into BlogSpere and now have to move it out, can anyone provide a way to do so? We have jumped to blogger (not happily). Comments from the comments sections would also be nice but we would be happy with being able to just move the daily entries? <>tim
